Makeup removers…These are a must for every woman!
Taking off your make up after a long day is so important to maintain that glowing skin. For me, I need to get everything off my face and let my skin breathe before I hit my pillow.
Finding the right make up remover is the search of a lifetime, however, I wanted to make that easy for you! I have shortlisted 3 make up removers which I swear by…But, before I go into that, here are a few pointers to remember when removing make up:
#1- Take your time, go slow, no need to rush taking your make up off. Be gentle and kind to your skin. Gently wipe off all the makeup of your eyes and face, focusing on the corner of your eyes, your hairline, under the jaw and chin area.
#2 – Always remove your makeup with your makeup remover first and then wash your face with your regular face wash. Not washing your face afterwards can leave the pores feeling clogged and this can lead to a break out!
HERE ARE MY FAVOURITES;
1.CLARINS INSTANT EYE MAKE-UP REMOVER
My absolute favourite! I have been using this one for years. It removes eye makeup instantly. I don’t have to carry on rubbing my eyes, just a few strokes and all the make-up is gone. It is also Ophthalmologist -tested, making it great for sensitive eyes. It doesn’t cause dryness, no stinging, no hazy eyes and is made of rose and cornflower water. Quick tip: Before applying, shake it up so the waters get blended. One bottle can last a long time, so it’s a good investment!
2. ROSE WATER AND COCONUT OIL
Rosewater and coconut oil…Guys, this is an amazing DIY! But sadly, not for all skin types…more for dry/normal skin. I have dry sensitive skin, and this works for me. These two amazing multi-purpose natural skincare products work wonders together. Simply, take a cotton pad, soak it with rose water and add 2-3 drops of coconut oil… (play with the consistency a few times, you might be happy with just 2 drops). This will take care of your entire face including your lips.
3. LA ROCHE POSAY-MAKEUP REMOVER MICELLAR WATER GEL
I recently discovered this one and I love it! It’s enriched with thermal spring water and has a subtle, fresh fragrance…perfect for all skin types including the most sensitive skin. It can also be used to remove all eye and facial makeup. Again, I like to remove my makeup first with this one and then wash my face even though the instructions say no rinse required. Leaves your skin feeling so soft and smooth!
