Nothing beats the goodness of natural ingredients when it comes to body and skincare. With the festive season around the corner, most of us might find it hard to keep up to a healthy diet, skincare and bedtime routine.
Here are a few tricks to prep you up for the festivities.
SUPER GREEN POWDER
Take a spoonful of super green powder with a glass of water, first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. This will make your system alkaline, flush out toxins, give you energy and boost your immune system. You can pick any wheatgrass, moringa, spirulina, chlorella or a blend of all three.
While your festive season may be packed with parties, binge eating, eating at odd ours and excessive alcohol consumption can take a toll over your gut flora. The imbalance may cause inflammation of the gut lining.
A good probiotic supplement can be your saviour around this time and would keep your gut healthy.
As the old rulebook says, always keep yourself hydrated. If you find drinking plain water boring, then infuse it with lemon or lime, drink green tea, peppermint tea, hot lemon water along with a slice of ginger. All these help reduce bloating, flush out water retention and keep your skin moist and glowy from the inside.
USE A MASK
Who doesn’t want to look super fresh and glowy for parties? Head straight for a brightening sheet mask! For better results, keep it in the fridge for a few hours and then apply.
COLD SPOON FOR PUFFY EYES
For all those who get puffy eyes due to late nights, alcohol or allergies, this one works its magic instantly.
Put two metal tablespoons in the fridge for three-four hours or until they are nicely chilled. Place the back of the spoons against your eyes for 10 minutes and then apply your eye cream.
URIAGE THERMAL SPRING WATER
Go for a nice thermal spring water to keep your skin hydrated. It has some powerful minerals with healing properties and gives a soothing effect. It’s great if you want to protect your skin from pollution. You can spray it as often as needed.
Shine on and don’t fret about maintaining a healthy skin regime this festive season. Try these and let me know how they worked for you.
